This weekend I saw one of the best documentaries I have seen in a long time. "Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson" captured the playful yet destructive spirit of the late doctor of Gonzo Journalism so thoroughly that I felt as if the good doctor had been present in the editing room smiling down at all of his friends, family, coworkers, partners in crime and enemies as they told the colorful tale of his life. I believe that this movie really did do him justice.
An interview with director Alex Gidney can be found here.
Has anyone else seen this film? What do you think?
